What is SPMU?
Permanent make-up is a form of cosmetic tattooing also known as micropigmentation. Pigments are applied into the second layer of the skin to create beautiful colour that resembles perfectly applied make-up.

Does it hurt?
The treatment can be slightly uncomfortable, but bearable. Sophie uses a number of state of the art products that are designed with the customer in mind. It is no more painful than having your eyebrows plucked. Red heads, blondes and fair skin types may experience more swelling and redness than darker skin types.

How long does it last?
Semi-permanent makeup is exactly that – semi-permanent! The colour will fade over the years so a top up is recommended every 12- 18 months to keep the colour looking fresh.

Post Treatment
You may experience redness and swelling directly after this procedure. You should not wet the eye area or wear any kind of eye make-up for seven days whilst your eyes heal. Once healed you may continue your normal routine.

Results
There are many factors that can affect the result of your semi permanent makeup treatment. The main factor is the aftercare. The better you look after the area the longer they will last.

Why SPMU brows?

Are you tired of drawing on your brows every day or having them melt off on hot days or when working out? Have you over plucked or shaved your brows and they simply refuse to grow back? Are your brows naturally sparse?

If your answer is yes to any of these questions, then you are going to love your semi-permanent eyebrows!

SPMU Hairstroke Eyebrows/Feathering

These are perfect for anyone wanting a natural brow look.

With a state of the art machine, Sophie is able to mimic the look of natural hair growth by creating lots of little 'hair like' impressions by implanting pigment in small fine lines underneath the skin.

Following the natural growth of any existing hair or if no hair, Sophie is able create an illusion of natural hair by creating a soft shading in the middle of the brow for that natural blend.

SPMU Ombré Eyebrows

Ombré (Shaded Brow) creates a soft, misty, powdered brow similar to the look of makeup, meaning the tails of the brow are darker, and fade into a light start at the front of the brow, giving it a very subtle look.

This technique does not include hairstrokes and is ideal for clients seeking a fuller looking brow, popular for those who have oily skin.

SPMU Combination Eyebrows

Combination Brow incorporates ombré brow with hair strokes to create a multidimensional looking brow. These two techniques used together are able to achieve an enhanced and defined brow which still looks natural.

SPMU Lips

Have your lips lost their definition and natural coloring around the lip border? Would you like them to appear plumper? Have they thinned out over time? Does your lipstick run into the cracks? Semi-permanent lip colour can give you the illusion of fuller looking lips.

You can choose from a lip blush effect (full lip colour) or lip liner effect, depending on your personal preference.
It is a popular semi-permanent makeup treatment providing a flush of colour as well as defining the lip border.

If you are booking a semi-permanent makeup treatment for lips and you have ever suffered from cold sores, it is important that you contact your GP for medication which you will need to take before and after treatment.
